    Are you ready to take on a dynamic role that keeps the wheels of commerce turning? As a Dispatch Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our logistics operations, balancing two vital functions: managing inbound/outbound calls and orchestrating seamless order entry. Inbound call management focuses on answering calls and solving issues with a minimum of call transferring. Outbound call management focuses on improving the characteristics of freight moved. Order entry involves entering load information for agencies and dispatching the truck.


    Essential Job Duties

    • Answer all incoming phone calls promptly and courteously
    • Collaborate with agents and drivers to find the ideal freight
    • Enter orders into our operational system for agents and drivers
    • Provide timely fuel advances to keep our drivers on the road
    • Handle request for additional advances per AOP Work Instructions
    • Guide drivers to the nearest repair facilities
    • Assist in providing directions to drivers
    • Dispatch trip numbers in computer for agents and drivers
    • Conduct daily check calls with drivers, keeping tabs on ETAs, updates, and resolving any issues
    • Be the first line of support for agents during emergencies and routine situations alike
    • Find and assign freight to available drivers, optimizing their routes and maximizing efficiency
    • Manage POs for inspections, repairs and tires
    • Embrace a variety of responsibilities that keep our operations running smoothly


    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 1+ years of dispatching experience
    • Strong typing skills
    • Well versed with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Ability to work well in collaboration with others
    • Ability to quickly pivot between different tasks and reprioritize throughout the day
    • Solid organizational and time management skills
    • Excellent with building and maintaining relationships
    • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English in a professional manner


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Transportation industry experience
    • Experience dealing with freight for flatbeds, step decks and dry vans
    • Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
