From Loading Dock to Kickoff
Behind the Scenes of Subaru Park with Brian Haggerty
Presented by Brian Haggerty, Vice President & General Manager, Subaru Park
Ever wonder what it takes to move 18,000 fans, two professional teams, and a full game-day operation through one venue without a hitch? Brian Haggerty is pulling back the curtain. From staffing and safety to concessions, transportation, and the split-second logistics of game day, Brian will walk our group through how it all comes together, and then we'll head to our seats to watch it play out live.
This is a Traffic Club original. No other professional group gets this kind of access to Subaru Park operations. Bring a colleague, bring a client, and see the Union take the field from the inside out.

About the Talk
Running a professional soccer stadium is a logistics operation hiding in plain sight. Every game day means synchronizing staffing, safety protocols, concessions, transportation, and on-field schedules into a single, seamless fan experience, and it all has to work, every time, with zero room for error.
Brian Haggerty will take our group behind the curtain at Subaru Park to show how it's done: the planning that happens days and weeks before kickoff, the split-second decisions made in real time, and the data and coordination that keep tens of thousands of people moving safely and efficiently. This is a rare, hands-on look at logistics and operations management in an industry most of us never get to see from the inside.
What You'll Take Away
- How stadium logistics teams plan and execute a full game-day operation from arrival to final whistle
- What it takes to coordinate staffing, safety, transportation, and concessions at scale
- How real-time data and planning drive decision-making under pressure
Who Should Attend
Logistics, operations, transportation, and supply chain professionals, and anyone curious how the systems behind a live sporting event actually work. Bring a colleague, a client, or a friend; this one's built for networking as much as it is for the talk.
About Brian Haggerty
Brian Haggerty oversees day-to-day operations at Subaru Park, home of the Philadelphia Union, where his work spans venue logistics, staffing, safety and security planning, concessions, transportation coordination, and the operational choreography that turns a stadium into a seamless fan experience on every game day.
Brian's path to the top of Subaru Park's operations started on the ticketing side. He came up through the Philadelphia Union organization from Manager of Ticket Operations to Director, then Senior Director of Ticket Operations, before moving into the Vice President & General Manager role overseeing the entire venue. Before joining the Union, he worked in athletics administration at the University of Pennsylvania and started his sports career as an Account Executive with the Philadelphia Flyers. He holds a degree from DeSales University.
Under Brian's leadership, Subaru Park has taken on projects well beyond a typical MLS game day, from a multi-year partnership with Evolv Technology to bring AI-powered security screening to every fan entrance, to preparing the stadium as an official FIFA World Cup 2026 training site. On that project, Brian put it simply: "The lines that we paint on the field on the soccer pitch are slightly wider for a FIFA World Cup match than they are for an MLS match. We're making little tweaks like that to ensure that we are at FIFA and World Cup standards."
That's the level of detail our group will get to hear about firsthand: the small decisions and big systems that keep a professional stadium running.
